We cannot recommend Sanderling House highly enough. Well situated in Dale close to the sea front, Griffin Inn, yacht club and boat house and beautifully and extensively equipped. We were a family of 7 and 2 dogs and there was plenty of room for us all.Teenagers enjoyed the outside fire pit when we barbecued in the lovely south facing garden. Owner was very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

THird time myself and my family in this lovely house. So clean and well equipped. Lovely pub The Griffin was nearby for beautiful freshly caught seafood dishes. We ate outside at Sanderling when we could, such a novelty. Plenty of wildlife in the garden and reference books and binoculars in the house to check up on knowledge. Would recommend thislovely South Pembrokeshire haven for walks to the Marloes and St Ann's Head circular Walk. There are also regular boat trips to Ramsey Island from nearby St Martin's Haven, always one of the highlights of my holiday. Go and try it for yourself.

'Sanderling' is a beautifully presented property with all the best in home comforts. Superbly equipped with everything to help make your stay more enjoyable. We had a party of Seven which was never a problem as there is plenty of space in all of the rooms + bathrooms are fitted out to a high standard.

Location of the house is perfect, just a stones throw from the friendly village / picturesque harbour & beach of 'Dale' and a great location to explore the stunning coastline.

I had reason to contact the owner 'Jill' on a few occasions who couldn't have been more helpful and thoughtful, offering so much information on the house and the area which really helped us to have a fabulous holiday.

Would definitely fully recommend this property and hope we can return one day soon - 'Sanderling' is a gem !

Sanderling House is s beautifully presented home from home. It is incredibly well equipped and Jill, the owner, is clearly passionate about ensuring her guests want for nothing. Four good bedrooms provide plenty of room for eight people and the upstairs living room is very comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and is complimented by a small dining room. Bathrooms upstairs and downstairs ensure there are no fights for the loo! Outside there is a patio, with garden furniture to enable you to dine in the evening sun. From the patio there is a terraced garden having various levels to enable guests to sit, relax and enjoy the mix of wild and imaginative landscaping. If the evening sun goes from the back there is always the option to move to a good sized front garden to relax. The location is quiet and Dale is a relaxing friendly place to enjoy a vacation. The house was spotless and clearly well loved. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Sanderling House is by far the best self-catering accommodation I have stayed in - not only fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, but also beautifully decorated throughout with a magical garden. The location of the house is perfect, with a very short stroll to the sea which is overlooked by the Dale Yacht Club (lovely coffee and cakes) and the Griffin Inn (fantastic food). I will definitely be returning!

We had 2 nights at Sanderling and were blessed with glorious weather. The house is very well equipped and furnished . Attention to the detail all round, with everyhting you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Hairdryers in all 4 bedrooms. Spotlessly clean and fresh. It is a home from home in a glorious setting with sea views from certain aspects and only 1 min walk away from the sea front and jetty. The coastal path is on the doorstep with miles and miles of walking in any direction on the Coastal Path taking in spectacular views. Quiet small village , 1 cafe, 1 Inn/restaurant, and a yacht club all serving very good food and drink depending ontype of dining you are looking for. Highly recommend this property.

Sanderlings House in Dale, Pembrokeshire is a lovely, well equipped and spacious holiday let. Spotlessly clean and with real attention to detail by the owners this holiday let is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy the lovely Pembrokeshire coastline. The house has a tiered garden, with lots of seats/ tables, and our young grand children loved exploring it's many levels. Sanderlings is just a couple of minutes walk from Dale beach and beach cafe as well as The Griffin pub. The house was ideal for our three generation family holiday and suited everyone. The owner was extremely helpful and provides a comprehensive package of information about both the house and the area. I can wholeheartedly recommend Sanderlings as a lovely and great value place to stay. We will certainly be returning.

Well where do you start? Firstly if you are after a holiday where you can forget everything then this is for you. I have never been anywhere that is so beautiful and peaceful. To sit in the morning listening and watching the birds enjoying the food and the wonderful garden is a wonderful way to start your day, the sun shines perfectly on the garden filled with flowers like an illusion it blends into the wooded area at the top and at night with no light pollution it is a fantastic place to sit and look and the stars snuggled under a blanket and around the fire pit it is just perfect. During the day there is loads to do if you just fancy a day sat in the house there are wonderful views from the living room, to sit in the chair by the window and to look out to the sea I could sit for hours. If you want to go for a walk well you are spoilt for choice, my favourite being a walk down to west dale where the dog can go for a swim in the secluded beach while you sit looking at all the beautiful views. There is so much to do (or not to do :D) one visit isn't enough shopping in the local little villages and close enough to Haverfordwest you could spend all day exploring!
Then after a hard days shopping, exploring, walking, whatever you do to come back to Sanderling is the perfect way to relax and unwind the house is beautiful! It has all that you need and more, with all rooms with their own themes you can tell that a lot of time, effort and love has gone into it. Its well kept and cleaned with a lovely surprise cake waiting when we arrived. Bonus!
I just cant explain enough how lovely Dale and Especially Sanderling is, I'm truly in love and will defiantly be going back.
What an amazing holiday.

A well equipped and beautifully presented family home from home. Our family loved the peaceful location a short walk from the beach at Dale with other stunningly beautiful beaches dotted around the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
If you enjoy cooking the wonderful local ingredients, lamb, seafood and fresh vegetables you have an excellent kitchen to get creative in.
Just want to relax? put out the birdseed and enjoy watching the dozens of birds visiting the pretty garden. Plenty of books available in the house to identify each feathered visitor.
At night, the stars and planets are much more visible than they are in town so bring some warm clothes and look at the heavens (binoculars kindly provided).
Although we never saw the housekeeper when we had a little problem with the electrics they sorted it out quickly and with no inconvenience to us.
All in all a great place to kick back and RELAX in style.

“Sanderling - a real home from home”

We stayed at Sanderling during October half-term, from the moment we stepped inside it felt like home - a warm and welcoming house. It had everything we needed during our stay. It is a perfect location whether you are a walker, a beach lover, a water-sports enthusiast or just want to curl up with a good book, watch a film or play games, there are plenty of all to choose from. The local pub, The Griffin Inn, has friendly staff and serves great tasty food whether you want a snack or something more substantial. Can thoroughly recommend a visit to the local silversmiths, Helen and Philip of Be-Gemmed, stunning jewelly and something to suit all pockets. West Dale and Marloes beaches are an absolute must and Pembroke Castle is also a great day out. Only word of caution is that at the time of year we visited Dale was starting to close up for the winter, shop, cafe and yacht club already closed. However this did not detract for us at all and there would be lots to do in summer months. Would absolutely recommend both Sanderling, Dale and the wider local area. Thank you Jill and Si for sharing your beautiful house.

Sanderling was the perfect house and location for an extended family getaway. The house is clean, modern and really well equipped and gave us the perfect base from which to explore West Wales.
The village of Dale is a beautiful and tranquil resort with a very friendly buzz.
We were blessed with great weather for our stay and we couldn't have wished for anywhere better, will certainly consider going back next year.

Stayed here 10th-17th August. It is a lovely base for any holiday. Well equipped, extremely clean, tastefully decorated and plenty of space. Booking was easy and stress free. Dale is lovely, especially if you like watersports. Can highly recommend The Griffin Inn, not cheap but food is fresh and delicious, staff very friendly and for such a little pub it is buzzing!

Spacious, pleasant house in the beautiful location of Dale in Pembrokeshire. This house was very well equipped, with everything you could need. If you are coming here no need to pack family games, DVDs or even fishing nets. The kitchen was superb. No less than two 3D TVs, ideal for those rainy days. It felt like a home from home rather than a holiday let, and I would definitely stay here again.
Dogs were allowed, yet the house was clean and in good condition.

The description of the house and facilities are accurate. The house is well furnished, clean and resourced and made an ideal holiday base for our three generation holiday. Good pub and cafe in easy walking distance and Dale is a lovely little place to have as a base. Plenty of lovely beaches close by and lovely walks in and around Dale. The owners were very helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday in a lovely comfortable family house.

This property has everything you could wish for in terms of accommodation and location. It is as described and is clean, well equipped and well appointed. We received excellent customer service from the owner who was very accommodating. The weather was fantastic and we ate breakfast outside on the patio every day! For me being within walking distance of the lovely beach at West Dale is heaven. Whilst I enjoyed the beaches and walks on the coastal path my teenage daughters and their friends appreciated the Wi-fi when we got home each day. It was almost a shame that we had such good weather because we didn't get to spend much time in the house! I have no hesitation in recommending Sanderling and we really hope to come back and stay again soon. Thank you Jill!

Review title:

Perfection all round

It was only by using the advanced search that I came across Sanderling House in Dale. As a family of six adults with a dog, both matched our lengthy wish list. Although we hadn't heard of Dale, it sounded perfect for us. And perfect it was. Dale is an indescribably beautiful and unspoiled little place. There are miles of interesting coastal walks with breath-taking scenery. There is West Beach which on a sunny day looks like somewhere out of an exotic holiday brochure and there is Dale Beach, which is alive with all manner of water sports and boating. If Dale was perfect for us, then so was Sanderling House. It's a lovely home with every possible convenience for every age group. It was spotlessly clean, very comfortable and it's an understatement to describe it as exceptionally well eqipped. The location is second to none. If you don't feel like eating in and taking advantage of a kitchen with every untensil one could possibly need or want, then it's literally a two minute walk from two very good places to dine out. We ate (and drank!) at the Griffin Pub and Moorings Restaurant. Both served excellent food and were very friendly. We had great fun Kayaking in the sea and for anyone taking part in water sports etc., it's a two minute walk back to Sanderlings to dry off. The garden, although shady in September, is a delight. There is a fire pit which was a novelty for us and we spent a fun evening sitting around it. There is also a huge barbecue which we didn't have the opportunity to use. If this home hasn't got it, you won't need it. Jill's customer service was excellent and we can't thank her enough for providing this truely wonderful place to stay. We fully intend returning and can't praise or recommend Sanderlings highly enough.
